GATEWAY GRIZZLIES BROADCASTER, JOE POTT
The 2008 season will mark Joe's seventh full season behind the microphone as the "Voice of the Gateway Grizzlies" though he has been part of Grizzlies broadcasts from the beginning.
During the team's inaugural season, Joe engineered road games, while serving as the "second voice" at home.
Originally from St. Louis, Joe is a 2000 graduate of the University of Dayton (Ohio), where he earned a degree in broadcasting. While at Dayton, Joe did play-by-play for university sports on radio and television. During the off-season, Joe can be heard broadcasting various high school football and basketball games throughout the St. Louis area. He also serves as the public address voice for Parkway South boys basketball in St. Louis county.
Joe has twice been honored as the Frontier League's Broadcaster of the Year (2005 and 2006).
Joe has now broadcast almost 600 games in his professional baseball career.
Joe and his wife Emily have two daughters, Madeline and Katie. The Family resides in South St. Louis County.
