Web Administrator
KMOX Radio has an immediate opening for a web administrator. Candidates must have a working knowledge of the internet, including HTML and general website administration. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus. The position is also responsible for assisting with the organization and facilitation of promotional events, including set-up, execution and serving as a liaison for clients and charity events. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evening hours as necessary. Two years minimum of promotions and/or marketing experience desired. No phone calls please. Send resume to:

The ideal candidate must have excellent writing skills and proven ability to

communicate in a smooth, intelligent manner.  News judgment, time

management and the ability to work under pressure are also key attributes.  The

successful candidate will also be able to do live interviews. 

 

This is not an opportunity for a beginner.  We are looking for someone who has

at least five years experience in a medium to large market. Applicant must be

Marketing/Promotions Interns
Now accepting applications for Spring, Summer and Fall internships As an intern for the KMOX marketing department, a student can gain valuable experience in many areas of the radio broadcasting industry. The student will have the opportunity to collaborate in every phase of station marketing and promotions, from concept generation to execution.
Internship duties include, but are not limited to:
-Preparing contesting, event-related, and departmental documents, such as prize sheets, agendas, remote forms, and staff memos
-Scheduling on-air talent and support staff for station events and appearances
-Soliciting and preparing promotional items and prizes for on-air contesting and event giveaways
-Collaborating with Web site administrator in updating online contest, event information, and community calendar
-Responding to listener inquiries and providing assistance and information to station contest winners
-Assisting with day-to-day office operations
-Providing on-site support at various KMOX events and appearances
This internship is a non-paid position and must be done for college credit. In order to be considered for an internship, the student must:
-Be available to work some evenings and weekends at various station events
-Have a strong desire to gain extensive marketing experience at the top radio station in St. Louis
-Possess strong writing and oral communication skills
-Show initiative and ability to work independently

Web design/Production InternsNow accepting applications for Web design/Production interns for spring, fall and/or summer.  Students need to be of junior or senior status anticipating a degree in web design, sound editing, marketing, journalism and/or other related degrees.
Students will work under the supervision of the KMOX marketing and production department:
Students will have an opportunity to make contacts as well as receive feedback on their performance in a work environment Students will be able to put their academic and professional training to use by being involved in duties similar to those in an entry-level position
This internship is unpaid
Eligibility and skill requirements: 
- Help manage the new KMOX website
-Show initiative and independence
-Strong computer skills
-Strong writing skills
-Ability to multi-task
-Strong organizational skills
-Experience in Sound Forge is a preferred
Internship responsibilities
-Manage podcasting audio files
-Edit and post new audio
-Update website pages (Promotions, Community Calendar, Special Features and News)
-Help design web banners

Sports Department Interns
KMOX Sports would like 1-2 interns for the summer and fall semesters. Interns must be willing to work odd hours, including a lot of nighttime and weekend hours. Responsibilities will include taping highlights, editing tape, researching for shows, and assisting and observing air talent.
