State Auditor candidate's plane hits a deer in Camdenton

St. Louis (KMOX NEWS)  -- A close call tonight for Jack Jackson, candidate for State Auditor in Missouri. His Beachcraft six-passenger plane hit a deer on the runway at Camdenton, near the lake of the Ozarks. Jackson, his wife and two campaign managers were not hurt...but campaign manager Paul Brown , who was on the plane, says the plane was at a speed of 130-miles an hour and about to take off when the deer jumped in front of the plane. Brown says Jackson was on the last leg of an eleven-city campaign swing. Jackson is a retired Marine and a former Boeing test pilot.
